RAISE Family Caregivers Act Becomes Law
On January 22,
President Trump signed the Recognize, Assist, Include, Support and Engage
(RAISE) Family Caregivers Act of 2017 to develop a national caregiving strategy
to support the nation’s 40 million family caregivers. The legislation would
also establish an advisory body that brings together stakeholders from the
public and private sectors to make recommendations, promote promising
practices, and expand services and training for family caregivers.
